To encourage responsible parenting by
mature, involved and prepared men and women.
To decrease violence in our society by:

reducing the
abuse, neglect and abandonment of children

encouraging
caring behavior in both boys and girls
To include parenting education as an
essential part of the elementary and secondary school curriculum.
To discourage early pregnancy.
Coordinate networking among existing programs and new efforts
to teach parenting education to school age children.
Assist and encourage initiatives, strategic partnerships and
staff development to implement the teaching of parenting skills to children.
Provide a clearinghouse of materials on parenting education.
Implement a public relations and marketing campaign to
increase public awareness and support of parenting education for children.
Educate elected and appointed officials about the importance of
legislation supporting parenting education for children.
